Pune: There may soon be relief for residents in the Hinjewadi-Maan area as pending civic issues are expected to be addressed before the monsoon.

MLA Shankar Mandekar has requested the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to conduct a ground inspection of key problem areas in Hinjewadi, Maan, Bhugaon and Pirangut. He met PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari to discuss ongoing road works and other pending issues in his constituency.

During the meeting, Mandekar highlighted several local problems and asked for faster action. Senior officials, including engineers and planning officers, were also present for the discussion.

The commissioner responded positively and assured that a site inspection will be conducted soon. He said the administration will review the situation on the ground and take necessary steps before the rainy season begins.

Several important issues were discussed during the meeting. These include rising traffic congestion at Ghotawade Phata and the need for an underpass to ease movement. The proposal for land acquisition for the Bhugaon bypass road was also taken up.

Other concerns included removal of electric poles on the Marunji road, funding for pending works, and issues related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Improvements at a key junction in Nande village were also part of the discussion.

Officials were also instructed to speed up the river improvement project in the area.

Mandekar said he has been regularly following up on these matters to ensure that pending works are completed. He added that the aim is to provide relief to citizens and improve basic infrastructure in the region.
