According to the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, a damaged underground power cable is being repaired on a key stretch in the area. Because of this, only one lane is open for vehicles.
The affected road is between Wipro Circle and MIDC Circle, near Metro Station No. 3 and opposite the Dohler company.
Officials said the road has been dug up to fix the fault in a cable belonging to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited.
Due to this, traffic congestion is expected, especially during peak hours. Morning rush between 8 am and 11 am and evening traffic from 4 pm to 8 pm are likely to be the most affected.
Police have advised commuters to avoid this route if possible and plan their travel in advance. Drivers are also asked to follow instructions from traffic personnel to help manage the situation.
The repair work is currently in progress and is expected to continue till April 30, 2026. Till then, people travelling through Hinjawadi Phase-2 should be prepared for delays.
