The action was taken as part of a special drive launched by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police to curb the growing number of motorcycle thefts in the Bavdhan Police Station limits.
During a patrol on the Mahalunge–Nande Road, a police team noticed two men riding a Honda Unicorn without a registration plate. When officers tried to stop them for checking, the riders attempted to flee. After a short chase, both suspects were caught and brought to the police station for further questioning.
The two were identified as Anil Lahu Jadhav (20), a resident of Mahalunge, and a juvenile in conflict with the law. According to police, Anil later revealed details about several thefts during interrogation.
His statement led investigators to two more suspects—Vasant Ankush Jadhav (25) and Sunil Lahu Jadhav (25), both residents of Sutarwadi in Mulshi taluka. Police arrested the duo and recovered the stolen property during the investigation.
Officials said the recovered motorcycles and mobile phones are linked to seven separate motorcycle theft cases registered in the Bavdhan and Hinjawadi police station areas.
The investigation was carried out by a special team from Bavdhan Police Station under the leadership of Senior Police Inspector Arvind Pawar and Police Sub-Inspector Sarang Thakare. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey and other senior officers of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police.
